I was born in a small hilly village of Tehrathum district located in the eastern part of Nepal. After spending about 3 years of my childhood in that place, my family migrated to a small town of the neighboring district, Sunsari. I completed my primary and lower secondary education from Saraswati School at Babiya. I then joined Bhagawati High School at Inaruwa to complete my secondary education. I passed the School Leaving Certificate (S.L.C.) examinations from that school in 1987.
During my higher education, I studied at many colleges and universities in Nepal, India, Korea, and Japan. Information regarding my higher education, research and work experiences is available here.
So far most of my time has passed while doing studies and researches. I also worked as a lecturer and an engineer in Nepal for about 5 years. Besides study and research, I do spend my time reading newspapers, playing with my daughters, doing sports (jogging, badminton) and visiting different places.
I also like to visit many places and work with many people around the world. So far I have visited the following places.
